Decent buck down! I took this buck opening weekend if rifle season in Texas. He was chasing a doe with another smaller buck and I was able to snort wheeze him back out into the open for a single shot from the 7mm-08. DRT.

Skunks in October

Opening weekend of bow season has come and gone and I have a sore
backside to show for it. 16 hours were spent chasing Odocoileus
Virginianus with none spotted. Another member did score on a nice buck
and we all reveled in that. More to come...

Group Therapy

I would say that with practiced breathing and concentration the
Barnett Predator crossbow can be very effective. This was three
consecutive shots from 25 yards. Awesome!

Bass in the Heat

The only way to beat the summer heat and still catch bucket mouths is to go early in the morning. We hit Joe Pool Lake on Saturday early and got to see a great sunrise and catch a few fish as well.

Crossbows in Texas!!

Crossbows are soon to be legal during archery season in Texas for able bodied hunters. I look forward to utilizing a different harvesting method and have recently ordered a new crossbow:

First Fish

Took my daughter Rylee fishing on Father's Day and she reeled in a couple. She also held her first of many bass. We had a great time!!

Lake Fork

The trip to Lake Fork was a success in many ways. We caught some great fish and had a good time. We are still getting over the Bass Fishing learning curve, but it is getting better every time we go out. I caught the biggest bass so far at 4 pounds 11 ounces and it was on a Yellow Magic top water bait.



We stayed at Hook-Line-and-Sinker while there and it was a great place to stay. Check them out if you ever fancy a trip to Grande Bass territory:
