Curling Victory

After watching Curling for two days in Arkansas I feel a connection to the US curling team. The Men have done it. They have procured the first medal for the US in curling EVER! Congrats Guys.

Deliver Me!

Ever see the movie Deliverance? Well we watched it while being snowbound in the cabin. Not the best idea in the world, but it did "deliver" us from two hours of boredom.

I found myself checking the treelines for maniacal locals for the rest of the trip.

Experts on Curling

Due to being stuck inside a lot of the time. It was really cold and windy! We became experts on the Olympic Sport of Curling. We probably logged at least 8 hours of viewing time and now know the following terms:

"On the Button"
"End"
"Shot Rock"
"Burying a Stone"

Brokeback Moment

Fishing License for Arkansas - $29
Tackle for the Trip - $66
Food and Drinks - $55
Lodging - $120
Boat Rentals - $90

Catching your friends re-enacting a scene from Brokeback Mountain....

PRICELESS!!!

How we got there.

There were 10 of us on this most recent fishing trip( 8 traveled from Texas ) and we all traveled in luxry. Just like rock stars, we had our own touring bus. It was the only way to go! The bus did cause issues when we were returning due to the inclement weather, but it will be a trip to remember.

More from the White

We had a great time on the White River this year. The fishing was excellent and so was the camaraderie. The water was really low, but that didn't stop us from finding the fish and having a great time. The weather turned cold after the first day, but that didn't keep us from fishing either.

Snow on the White

We got 5 inches of snow while fishing on the White River last week! Man was it ever cold.
